Pay Scale
Working as a company driver or independent operator for one of the Comcar companies is one of the best things you can do for your pocketbook.

First-year drivers can make as much as $30,000, depending on which affiliate you work for and the type of freight hauled.

"I came here for the money -- my neighbor worked here and told me how good it was.  I enjoy it -- it’s real laid-back here. Everybody’s nice and they’ve got good people in dispatch." Stephen Smolen, MDT Driver -- since 1989.

"My husband was here first, and I liked the look of his paycheck.  The benefits are good, the people are nice, and I like the independence."  Victoria Williams, CTL Driver -- since 1997.

Types of Freight
The Comcar network of five trucking companies is able to provide its customers a tremendous array of services: Our companies feature dry van, refrigerated, flatbed, and tanker trailers. In fact, our wide variety of equipment types allows us to haul virtually any type of product.

What this means to you is choices – you can choose what types of freight transportation best suit your career objectives.

Equipment
At Comcar, we know your rig is your home away from home, so you are provided excellent equipment. All of our trucking companies use late-model Volvo or Freightliner tractors, with AM/FM cassette stereos, cruise control, and Air Ride. Our trucks are strong enough to get the job done, but give you a very smooth ride.

Qualcomm, a satellite-based communications and vehicle tracking system, is used for continuous communication between dispatchers and drivers.

And because we care about your safety, we are embarking on a project to install the state-of-the-art Eaton-Vorad collision avoidance system into every one of our tractors. And our preventative maintenance program is second to none.
